We stopped here on our drive to Quantock Hills and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and service of La Flambe. The photos do not do the food justice at all. The pork medallions were perfectly cooked and tender. We also had the sea bass, meatballs and mint pea soup along with veg and two different types of potatoes! The other reviews are right in stating that the portions are well sized. Having two young children with us, we were very aware of potentially disturbing other patrons, however, the staff were so kind and even gave us some cake for the kids. If you ever find yourself driving through the beautiful village of Sutton Benger then make sure you stop here!

Popped in while traveling. Arrived not too long after opening and were seen immediately. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food we had was out of this world and everything we saw others ordering looked just sublime. We had the swordfish which melted in the mouth and everything comes with veg and both roast and dauphinoise potatoes. If you have the chance to eat here, do so you will not regret it.

Brilliant food at a really good price! Stopped for lunch recently on a weekday and it was relatively empty; we've been round for dinner/weekends and it does get quite full so I'd recommend reservations to avoid disappointment. The food is always wonderful. Massive portions and exceptional flavours. We usually order the set menus and you get several side dishes to share with your order (roasties, dauphinoise potatoes and veggies) Staff are incredibly nice and food comes out quickly. There's parking outside the restaurant.

An absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I sat down, the service was impeccable, the menu was wonderful. The general manager stopped by and was a charmer. The experience of the food was a gastronomic masterpiece. The Yorkshire pudding was delightful, and the ambience was terrific. One of the things that really impressed me was I was late and we were right at the edge of cut off for the day, and I did not experience being rushed one moment throughout the entire meal. I cannot wait to go back and I hope that all the photographs And this little paragraph or two of writing entices and brings you to salivation to stop into this wonderful restaurant and experience what I experienced. We had a birthday lunch here and I have to say, it was just fabulous. The restaurant is easy to get to from the motorway and has plenty of parking. Decor is pleasant inside and the tables are spaced far enough apart to give you privacy. Service was impeccable, the food was well presented, delicious and had good sized portions. Value for money was excellent and we will certainly return.

An elder statesman on the dining scene and the reasons for its continued success is based upon a team that knows precisely what their customers want and delivers it. You are not going to find foams, reductions or food being served on shovels here. What you will find is an extensive menu based on simple, high quality ingredients that have been lovingly prepared. Backed up by well trained staff that are attentive without being overbearing. There is a reason this is the place that springs to mind for any celebratory meal - or indeed any excuse to eat here!

Exceptional meal tonight at La Flambe. Our first time visiting and I’ll 100% be back. I had the goats cheese and spinach croquettes, followed by the lamb. The starter was good but I’d like more of a goats cheese punch. The lamb however was incredible, I’ve attached a photo as the portion size was huge, but every element was so delicious. The key lime pie to finish was also so so good. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough, I really enjoyed it, and the service was fantastic.

Wow! Great evening out. Food was amazing Group of friends on our Monthly night out. We have been before and had an amazing meal, so we knew we would want to visit again for a Christmas treat. We were not disappointed. We went mid week but the restaurant was really buzzing . Got drinks at the bar and moved straight to our table, by the open wood fire Our starters came quickly and the lovely waitress made sure we wanted for nothing.Top service. The goats cheese was a firm favourite as were the pate and beautiful mushrooms. Mains are all good, but the Christmas Turkey dinner was sublime! Turkey breast was juicy and practically coved the whole plate! Help yourself from a good choice vegetables including red cabbage that are placed on your table. Best to save some room as the pudding menu is rather yummy also! And it would be rude to not to try! Really nice place to visit with outstanding service and a great menu. Go on spoil your loved ones, you will not be disappointed.
